Mr. Maksim Caslli has been appointed as Member of the Board of Directors in March, 2023. During 2022 he was external advisor of the board. Mr.Caslli is the owner and CEO at American Capital, an advising and investment company with investment portfolio in information technology, financial and accounting services, consulting services, agritourism, agriculture, wholesale and retail food trading and construction. Mr.Caslli has extensive business experience working for Deloitte from 1995 until 2021. He established Deloitte in Albania in 1996, later on in Kosova in 2000 and for 7 year he was acting Managing Partner for Deloitte Balkan region leading Deloitte in Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.

Mr. Caslli holds a Master degree in Marketing and Strategy from Norwegian School of Management and is an Mechanical Engineer from University of Tirana. He has obtained many executive education from prestigious universities such as Harvard Business School, London Business School, University of Virginia, Vienna Business School, University of Florida in areas related to Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Leadership Development, Project Financing for PPP etc.

Visar Bytyqi has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of BPB bank on August 2018.
Mr. Bytyqi has worked in senior management positions for more than 10 years in Deloitte and Grant Thornton. He has considerable financial and audit experience and has provided services to government entities, public listed corporations, multinational companies and many private sector entities in Kosovo. Mr. Bytyqi currently is a lecturer in on of country’s Professional Accountancy Organization and a member of the board of directors in one of the Kosovo’s largest corporations.

His prior experience, amongst others, also includes a member of the Kosovo Council for Financial Reporting, member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit committee of the Kosovo’s first insurance company.
Mr. Bytyqi is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants – ACCA (UK) and a Certified Accountant and Auditor in Kosovo. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Informatics from University of Pristina.

Mr. Paul Nabavi joined the Board of Directors in June 2023. He has over thirty years’ experience in banking and finance in emerging, developing and frontier markets worldwide. At the CDC Group (now British International Investment), he built and managed the financial institutions team, responsible for new investments and loans to CDC’s financial sector clients in Asia, Africa and Latin America. He was CEO of a finance company operating in Havana in Cuba.

He worked for Actis LLP (emerging markets private equity) before joining EBRD (European Bank of Reconstruction & Development). At EBRD, he specialised in equity investment in financial institutions overseeing both new business and portfolio investment in banks and other financial services businesses throughout the EBRD region.

Mr. Nabavi is trained and qualified as a chartered accountant in the UK. He holds an MA from Oxford University. He is currently a Director of First Bank SA in Romania and was formerly a member of the Supervisory Board of Union Bank of Albania. He is also a Trustee Director of World Child Cancer.

Ms. Shkendije Himaj has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Directors in February 2026.

Shkendije Himaj is the CEO and founder of Finance in Action, a financial services consulting company dedicated to advancing diversified finance and sustainable growth. Prior to this role, she served as Diversified Finance Lead at the DT Global–USAID Activity, where she championed strategic initiatives across Kosovo’s financial sector, pioneering alternative financing and capital market development.

With over 18 years of leadership experience at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Shkendije has held senior positions spanning financial supervision, macroprudential stability, risk management, and international relations. As a former central banker, she played a critical role in building Kosovo’s financial architecture and contributed to the establishment of key institutions such as the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund and the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo.

Earlier in her career, Shkendije worked in Canada’s nonprofit sector as a Program Coordinator, gaining valuable international development experience. She is deeply engaged in projects related to diversified finance, corporate governance, leadership, policy development, and women’s empowerment.

She holds degrees in Economics from the University of Pristina and the University of Western Ontario, and has completed executive education at international institutions such as the European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, Federal Reserve System, Joint Vienna Institute, and the U.S. State Department. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.

Mrs. Ardiana Bakija was appointed a member of the Board of Directors in March 2022. The professional experience of Mrs. Bakija started from civil society in the early 2000s, where she gave her contribution to the legal spectrum of project implementation in the psycho-social field. Her career continued in the banking industry in the second half of the 2000s, initially in Banka Ekonomike, in leadership positions at the sector and departmental level in ​​Compliance and Money Laundering Prevention. Her experience in this field and at this level of leadership Ms. Bakija continued in Turkiye IS Bankasi, branch in Kosovo until 2020.

In recent years, Mrs. Bakija has joined the Energy Efficiency Fund (FKEE) in the position of General Services Manager. Her contribution to this institution consists in drafting and monitoring financial and energy service agreements, which are being implemented for the first time in Kosovo. Also, Mrs. Bakija is responsible for overseeing the human resources and procurement department. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina and is internationally certified in the field of Compliance and PPP as well as in the Energy Efficiency sector.
